Hello, after I've not been able to get the WinXP version working with subtitles and Win7 was working but too slow I switched back to the original installation of Ubuntu. Now after a while h264 seems to play just fine but I can't get mplayer to load subtitles neither mkv-internal nor external sub/idx...

Thanks for the hint on Win7: settings worked though playback of normal video files as well as h264 ones was aweful slow. Then again I didn't notice any glitches on the screen.. hehe.
