Re: How to add extra memory?

Ouch ... I'm having thrashing problems running too many programs. I guess I'll have to solve them the old fashioned way and work out what I don't really need :) Thanks for the reply ... I'd suggest the lack of upgrade option be flagged so that people who suspect they may want 2Gb won't just order 1G...

How to add extra memory?

The fit-PC2 website says memory up to 2GB, but all the models come
with 1GB. How can I upgrade my Linux fit-PC2 to 2GB?

intermittent ethernet failure

I had this problem when my fit-pc2 arrived, but solved it by not rebooting :), i.e., leaving the machine on permanently. But now that the weather is hot, I don't want to do this and am suspending or turning off between sessions. When restoring or booting, about 1 in 3 times the ethernet just fails. ...

Re: lm_sensors on Fit-PC2

Thanks ... the smartctl command works also ... the hdd temp hit 51C today, I've
now put 2 cpu heatsinks on the top and they have cut the temp down a few degrees.
It was 39C in the shade here today and my aircon is a little under engineered :)

Re: lm_sensors on Fit-PC2

Thanks for that ... the specs say operating temperature 0-45C, I'm presuming this is the ambient room temp? Also, am I right in presuming the second figure of 55C (Thermal Sensor 1) being picked up by Denis's script is the HDD? I've put an old CPU Al heat sink on the top of the fit-pc2, seems to be ...

Re: lm_sensors on Fit-PC2

Thanks for Denis's script. Its 37 degrees in the shade outside and pretty
hot inside where my fitpc2 is. The script shows 64C and 57C. At what
temperature should I get worried?
