I had my Fit-PC2 connected to 30" Dell, with native resolution of 2560x1600, however Fit-PC2 allowed setting at most 1920x1200.irads wrote:1920x1200@60Hz is confirmed to work. I have no indications on higher resolutions.

Re: Wireless network card is set to 802.11n
802.11n should be fully backwards compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b, without needing any changes to enable that support.

Re: No video signal on FITPC2
I think questions like this could be avoided if the HDMI->DVI adapter that ships with Fit-PC2 would have a DVI-D connector instead of DVI-I.

Re: Win2K3 - Display driver - GMA500
Try running the installer in XP compatibility mode, or if that fails, install the driver through Device manager (right-clicking the inf file and chosing install usually doesn't work for drivers, but if you right-click on the device in Device manager and chose Update driver, you should be able to get...

Re: How to boot Ubuntu 8.04 Gnome without a Monitor?
If you never intend to use a monitor, I suggest you don't use normal X at all, but instead use TightVNC's X server (Xvnc) - it'll probably work faster.

Re: Audio bleed-through of electrical noise
My experience with on-board sound cards has always been pretty bad (I could tell which program was running on my laptop by listening to the sound through external speakers), so I'd suggest you simply get an USB sound card.

Re: VNC
I can't say specifically about Fit-PC2, but I'm running TightVNC's xvnc server on one of my machines, and it works very nicely, except for the national characters, which come through garbled - however, this isn't much of a problem for me, because I almost never need those characters there.

Re: Booting from USB ...
Since the Fit-PC2 already has space for 2,5" drive, I suggest you simply buy one of those - you should be able to get an 80GB drive for around 30€, which although is somewhat more expensive than the cheapest USB keys, it also gives you much more usable space.

Re: Headless "server" model
Does the US15W SCH support 1 or 2 PATA devices? If it supports two, how feasible would it be to put SATA bridge on both, but bring one of the SATA ports to outside as eSATA (without hotplug support obviously)? My primary intention for server-mode Fit-PC2 would be a router, where I don't need 2 disks...
