Re: Debian Lenny/Squeeze and Ralink wireless chipset
I finally managed it to get my wifi up and running. all i had to do is.... build my own kernel :D. i grabbed the 2.6.31-2 linux source from the debian sid repo, applied the rt3090 patches from here and build my own kernel. works fine. wifi is amazingly fast. if anyone has the same problem concerning...

Re: Debian Lenny/Squeeze and Ralink wireless chipset
hmm,
what I can verify is, that the wlan chip itself works fine, even in ap mode. I just installed windows xp to find out if its a hardware problem, but it isn't.
weird.

konrad.

Re: Debian Lenny/Squeeze and Ralink wireless chipset
Have you tried to compile it without chancing HAS_WPA_SUPPLICANT=y HAS_NATIVE_WPA_SUPPLICANT_SUPPORT=y Well I never changed these values. I just checked if they were both True and apparently they are ;). and only change ssid and key in RT2860STA.dat ? SSID = wlanhome AuthMode = WPAPSK EncrypType = ...

Debian Lenny/Squeeze and Ralink wireless chipset
Hi, i just got my fit-pc2 :). I installed Debian Lenny on it because i want to use it as a little home server. Everything is fine so far except for one little problem. I'm used to get a wifi connection via wpa_supplicant + dhclient. The first thing i encountered is that the wifi interface wasn't det...

Re: WLAN and miniSD socket
The WLAN is implemented as a mini-PCI express card and is not installed in the diskless and value models to reduce costs. This is not intended for user installation but 1.1GHz with WLAN may be offered by distributors. Does "not intended" also mean "not possible" or can I buy a diskless or value con...

Re: WLAN and miniSD socket
@amite.rivers
maybe you think about using an usb adapter. some of them are very tiny and support sdhc without any problems. at least for me waiting for fit-PC2 is not an option .

Re: WLAN and miniSD socket
Is the port/socket for the WLAN PCI-E Card still available in diskless and value configurations (for adding wlan functionality on my own - and no usb devices suck :D)? Unfortunately my local distributor just ships the standard versions of fit-PC2, but I really don't need the 160gb non-flash drive be...

WLAN and miniSD socket
Hello,
i've got two questions about the new fit-pc.
1. Does w/o wifi in the "fit-PC2 Diskless" and "fit-PC2 Linux Value" configurations truly mean without any wireless lan support/chipset or just delivered without an antenna?
2. Is the miniSD socket SDHC compatible?
Thanks,
Konrad
