Re: 24x7 weather computer

You might want to make sure you get the AutoOn version of the fitpc if it is going to be somewhere you don't have easy access to, so you won't have to manually restart it if you lose power.

Power management:Wake from hibernation w/ task scheduler(XP)

Hi, Is there any way to have the fitpc2 wake to run a scheduled task? I am trying to build a solar powered system with low power requirements. The fitpc is a cor component of this since it is so small and has very low power requirements. However, when I hibernate the fitpc, it won't wake to run a sc...

Re: Auto shutdown on Low Voltage

You could rig one yourself if you wanted a fun diy project. It would be pretty easy to add a small backup battery and a voltage sensor. Phidgets makes pretty low cost and very easy to use/program voltage sensors. Their drivers work in almost any language. You'd just have it load on startup and then ...

Re: Why can't Windows Task Scheduler wake my fit-PC2?

Have you had any success with this issue? There are two core power management functionalities that I would think would be a must-have for a computer designed for a market that wants low power, 12v pc's ... Re: auto-on Mod

Just to clarify my previous post... I did a lot of research before buying a fitpc and I did forgot to explicitly check for this feature, but every desktop computer I've ever bought had it as a bios option so it wasn't something I thought might be optional. Since Auto-on is a somewhat standard featur...

Re: USB-Powered Monitor?

Don't know anything about linux drivers but I have noticed that all the USB monitors I've seen in my recent research say that these are not really intended as primary monitors, just secondary ones. I'm not sure if that's b/c they are so small or if there is some real driver issue with running them a...

Re: auto-on Mod

This is a crucial feature for some users. It would be nice if this option or it lack was included in the specs somewhere on Amazon (which I assume is where a lot of people will buy it) so users who need auto-on have the chance to purchase computer that works for them. The system we are desgining pre...
