The keyboard works fine with another computer - which I'm using to write this post.
Thus, yes, I can navigate through the BIOS - there it's only the "F..." commands which don't work.

Re: Error message when trying to start OS
Thanks Ev0lsan!
How could I do a memory scan?
When I start up the computer, this message shows up right away and all functions are blocked.
I can only get into the BIOS, but no commands are possible there either.

Error message when trying to start OS
Hello, Recently I tried to make a new installation of the Mint 9 OS on my fit-PC2i. Then suddenly the following message appeared: "error: too small lower memory (0x99100 > 0x90000) Failed to boot both default and fallback entries" Now nothing seems to work anymore - not even the (F) commands in the ...

Re: Issues with unstable panel
Hello,
I followed the instructions at http://www.fit-pc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=68&t=2026, which I expect to be identical.
I also did (resp. had to do) the alteration as posted from me further down that page - with no such issues until recently.

Re: Issues with unstable panel
Hello gabrielh,
I'm using Mint 9, on fit-PC2i revision 1.1.
Even after a new installation of the OS this issue still remains the same.
I have used this OS for many months before without these problems - though there where other issues in the first months, which "suddenly" no longer existed.

Issues with unstable panel
Hello, The entire panel, as well as single parts of it occasionally disappear temporarily (for a few seconds) - the former happens more often during a Skype phone call, when it temporarily mutes the connection as well - while the latter need to be manually reloaded according to some windows that app...

Opened windows not shown on panel
Hello,
The opened windows have ceased to show up on the panel.
I have just recently reinstalled mint 9 on a fitPC2i.
I had this issue also just before the OS stopped working and I had to do the reinstallation.
Is there something that can be done to solve this?
Many thanks in advance!

... I needed to modify pata module because ubuntu only detects master hard drives (currrently SD is master and HD slave, and this is a hardware configuration we cannot change). The modification makes the kernel detects slave HD as well during boot time. Update : 2.6.32-25-fitpc2i available : apt-ge...

Re: How to install the BIOS update on Ubuntu
Does http://www.fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?title=BIOS_Update apply to the fit-PC2i computers too? If so, I tried to do this on a Windows OS. I was able to write the "128MBDOS.img" file to my thumb drive. But then on http://www.fit-pc2.com/wiki/index.php?title=BIOS_Update it reads: "Copy to the root ...
