Graphics support for new Ubuntu versions

According to this post:

there is now a working graphics driver available for Ubuntu Intrepid. Looking in the repository mentioned, there appears to be a driver for Jaunty as well.

It seems the Ubuntu people have been busy working on this!

Note: I've only got the old Fit PC, so I cannot test this.

I will test this within a two-three days. I just got a new harddrive where I can experiment.
I will post more on this here...

Just seen this post online at a forum discussing Linux drivers for GMA500 - seems there are drivers available for Jaunty and Intrepid.

I havent tested anything, but thought i'd post it here and see if it helps anyone!

I don't yet have a Fit-PC2, but am looking in to it. However, I do have a Sony Vaio P530, which uses the same chipset and CPU series. I used the instructions at the following link to get fairly decent video drivers working in 9.04:
