Hi,
One of my Fit-PC3 will NOT work with DisplayPort to DVI Adapters:
StarTech - DP2DVI2 - DisplayPort to DVI Video Adapter Converter
http://www.startech.com/AV/Displayport- ... er~DP2DVI2
MonoPrice - DP-M-DVI-F - DP (DisplayPort) Male to DVI-D Female Adapter (Single-Link)
http://www.monoprice.com/products/produ ... &p_id=4827
This fit-PC3 will NOT work with adapters, NO BIOS Screen shows on the DisplayPort:
FitPC3 Basic
D2x2-T40N-WB-FM4U
BIOS BZ_2.1.0.333_6 X64
Build 01/23/2012
Note: the DisplayPort works OK, with a DisplayPort cable, to a Dell U2412M Monitor
This fit-PC3 WORKS OK with adapters, BIOS Screen shows OK on the DisplayPort:
MintBox
fit-PC3-D2x2-T40N-WB-H250-XLM-FM4U-BMint
BIOS BZ_2.1.0.333_9 X64
Build 05/01/2012
I need DVI output for my dual monitor KVM.
Can anyone think of what the next step to troubleshoot this?
Are there any EFI commands to enable/disable the DisplayPort?
Thanks!
Chris
Problem with DisplayPort-to-DVI Adapters
Re: Problem with DisplayPort-to-DVI Adapters
Thank you for providing a detailed info of the issue, and providing all the info needed of the Fit-PC3s.
We will try to reproduce this problem with our adapters on the Fit-PC3 basic model.
Meanwhile, can you please try to get DVI output with HDMI-DVI adapter?

Re: Problem with DisplayPort-to-DVI Adapters
Thanks for looking into this.
Yes, the fit-PC3 Basic provides DVI output with HDMI-DVI adapter, which works well as the primary monitor.
I'm hoping to have DVI output for a second monitor.
No worries,
Chris

Re: Problem with DisplayPort-to-DVI Adapters
I tried a third fit-PC3, which has the same problem; it will NOT work with an adapter (StarTech - DP2DVI2),
NO BIOS Screen shows on the DisplayPort on a Dell U2412M Monitor.
This has a different BIOS (ends in 8, instead of ending in 6), and a different Build TIme:
FitPC3 Basic
D2x2-T40N-WB-FM4U
BIOS BZ_2.1.0.333_8 X64
Build 03/02/2012
Note: Again, the DisplayPort works OK, with a DisplayPort cable, to the Dell U2412M Monitor.

Same result with a cable, DisplayPort to DVI (Monoprice DP-DVI-28-10)
NO BIOS Screen shows on the DisplayPort on a Dell U2412M Monitor.

Re: Problem with DisplayPort-to-DVI Adapters
We can't confirm this issue on our side. Have you switched the DP mode to an HDMI passive adapter from the BIOS menu?

Gabriel,
Thanks for researching this problem.
This FitPC3 Basic is _missing_ the Display Port settings in the BIOS menu
BIOS Menu -> AMD -> Platforms Settings:
- ACPI P-state [Enabled]
NOTE: ONLY ACPI SETTING APPEARS - NO OTHER SETTINGS APPEAR.
FitPC3 Basic
D2x2-T40N-WB-FM4U
BIOS BZ_2.1.0.333_8 X64
Build 03/02/2012
This MintBox _does_have_ the Display Port settings, and is _working_fine_ with DP-to-DVI adapters
BIOS Menu -> AMD -> Platforms Settings:
- LAN Boot [Disabled]
- ACPI P-state [Enabled]
- Full-size mPCIe [PCIe]
- UART1 [Serial]
- Display Port [Display Port] -- Which can be changed to: [HDMI Passive Adapter]

Thanks again,
Chris
