Thanks so much Denis! Actually, for me, kernel version 3.0 had the same fault, as did version 3.4, and 3.5 was slower still. However, I'm now running 12.04 with version 3.6 RC5 ( http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/ma ... 5-quantal/ ) and it appears to be working a treat, albeit with stability issues that one would expect of a release candidate* (so at least it looks good for 12.10 when it's finally released).Denis wrote:Hi,
Regarding "reboot instead of shutdown", the patch will be pushed to mainline kernel soon, to all stable versions starting from 3.0. I believe Ubuntu and other distributions will pull this patch shortly. You can look at the patch here: https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/1287241
Regarding graphic problems please try 3.4 kernel http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/ma ... 4-precise/
It contains many important drm and video acceleration fixes, may be it will help.
I'm prepared to wait for the reboot patch as it sounds like there shouldn't be long to wait (and I'm not sure how easy it would be to apply it).

Anyway, thanks again. All said, the Intense PC is a fantastic piece of hardware.
By the way, are there any known issues with sound not working on the Intense PC's?
